Busy weekend

What a wonderful busy few days we have had. It Stared when I surprised Jay on his birthday at work with a cake. He was totally surprised.He was able to take the rest of the day off. We were very happy to be able to spend time with two of my nieces that were in town and see their darling kids. We got home and rushed to get the boat and us ready and we headed for Hayden Lake which is a lake the is only 30 min from here that we love to go to. We had an awesome time and the weather was awesome. Friday the 4Th we had two families over for a BBQ and swimming. the weather was not very warm for swimming but it was for grilling. We went with one of the families and one of my nieces downtown to watch the fire works and had a wonderful time. The next day the 5Th we loaded up the boys and my niece and headed about 2 hours west of here to lake Roosevelt. When we got there it was packed and we barely found a place to park. We had to launch the boat at one place and I had to drive over to the Marina to pick up Jay where there was overflow parking. We spent most of our time on the Columbia river that feeds into the lake and the water was cold but the kids did not care. We enjoyed seeing new areas that we had not seen before. The boys and Jay survived me taking them on a wild ride and doing everything I could to dump them off the tube.
